In the drama A Separate Peace by John Knowles is set in the 1940's during World War II. This story is about two boys finding their way through life. During a person's lifetime from birth to death somewhere in between they learn the most important things are acquired through their "wars". …death of someone that ends all the memories they left behind; it's when a person forgets all about them. Gene and Finny were both amazing characters to analyze throughout the book. In a way, the way that their friendship began and ended reminds me of myself. They also learned something that I have once experienced myself. A friend is one of the nicest things a person can have and the best thing one could be.
