…physical fight with him. Close-mindedness is destructive. It arouses conflicts and fights among people and results in a victim and his/her emotional wound. When Harper Lee, wrote this book, such close-mindedness was prevalent in the South. Since she was a very advanced person, she had different ideas and considered it destructive and harmful to society. Recognizing these devastating results of close-mindedness, she did not hesitate to denounce it and question the validity of it.
