"To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee.
Atticus Finch provides a vital role in the novel 'To Kill a Mockingbird'. Harper Lee uses Atticus as a role model, a parent and a counter balance for all that's wrong in Maycomb County. In this essay I will show how Atticus fulfills his role as a parent, his views on racism and his character during the Tom Robinson trial. Atticus is a lawyer and has very high moral standards. Atticus raises Jem and Scout
noises outside and begins firing his gun. The children escape but Jem catches his trousers on a metal fence and has to leave them behind. When he later goes back to get them he finds them folded in a pile and stitched up. Atticus' best qualities are that he is very honest and believes everybody deserves a fair chance. Also Atticus feels that respecting your elders is very important and teaches this to his children.
