Tragedy strikes close to home

…and the many more I found running through my jumbled thoughts that day, there really might not be one. But it is the potential for complexity in human nature and the human response to pain and suffering in times of tragedy that makes Steve's "unlikely response" that much more "likely". It is a phenomenon that the world of psychology has been studying for hundreds of years, yet it seems to continually be astounded by daily.
