What is better: watches a film or reads a book?

There are a lot of people in the world, who spend their time in different ways. They can not image, how characters, and their houses and places look. As a result, I suppose that there are a lot of people, who like to watch films, and also those, who like to read books. I believe, that both: watching and reading are good, and everyone choose what he or she likes.
