Wilfred Edward Salter Owen was born on 18 March 1893 in Oswestry, Shropshire and began to write poetry from a very young age. All three of these poems demonstrate the fact that Owen is certainly not in favour of war and show his negative approach to certain aspects of this subject. They also show that he offers no comfort or consolation for the suffering that happens in the time of war.
