The role that women play in The Odyssey is one of power over men, that comments about Greek society during this time, saying that their society was a matriarchal society, when it was supposed to be a patriarchal society. In the epic The Odyssey the role that women have is that they have power over the men, and what this says about Greek society is that women were in charge, when really the men were supposed to be.
