…this is dictated more by political beliefs and culture than any religious significance or relationship with nature. We have had a devastating effect on the natural environment all over the globe, however this is not entirely the fault of western capitalism, other non-western societies have a negative effect also. If we were to have a deeper respect for our global environment, perhaps we would also have a better relationship with other cultures and societies worldwide.
