The law helped, however, in cutting down on contaminated foods and drugs which was due somewhat to improved sanitary conditions under which they were made. Although the laws could not see everything change for the better right away, they did provide a good foundation to work with. The laws have been modified to fix their initial loopholes and remain in action today.
