state of our economy

Our current economy is experiencing strong economic growth and rapid expansion. The data show current gross domestic product (GDP), consumer price index (CPI), and the unemployment rate to support findings. The Federal Reserve is concerned about inflation and consumer spending. However, overall inflation is not bad and interest rates may continue to increase. One indication of a strong economy is the current increase in GDP of 6.9% for the fourth quarter. …and interest rates from the Feds. High productivity and consumer spending are only a few areas that show lasting strength. There have been constant increases in interest rates. Inflation may reappear and currently interest rates have increased five times since June of 1999 and more increases maybe coming. However, the overall look of the economy is doing fairly well and inflation is a hot topic for the Feds but for now, it is still under control.
